Fieldtrip 2 to the Hamsun centre. 1st to 4th February to do additional recordings.

Nordland Fylkeskommune and KORO have commissioned Jana to do a permanent sound work for the Hamsun center, drawn by the architect Steven Holl. The other commisioned work will be made by Stenberg/Sørensen (Erle Stenberg og Elin T. Sørensen). The artist consultant is Anne Karin Jortveit.

Director of Music Technology Research Tony Myatt at the Department of Music / The University in York is developing the programming for the installation and consulting Jana on technical issues. The sound in the installation will be changing according to the tide of Glimma, and the change of seasons.

The sound work is based on sounds recorded at Hamarøy and locally from above and under the surface of Glimma, of snails, sea Urchins and fish form different seasons.
