Hamsun Center, Hamarøy, Norway

Nordland Fylkeskommune and KORO have commissioned Jana to do a permanent sound work for the Hamsun center, drawn by the architect Steven Holl. The other commissioned work will be made by Stenberg/Sørensen (Erle Stenberg og Elin T. Sørensen). The artist consultant is Anne Karin Jortveit.

The site for the installation is the balcony overlooking Glimma, the local lagune, and the forrest. The installation is due to open early summer 2010.
The Director of Music Technology Research Tony Myatt at the Department of Music at The University in York is doing the programming for the installation which will be changing according to the tide of Glimma, and of the four seasons.
